CUSTOMER ORIENTATION AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE – ROLE OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS

A critique of a theoretical paper titled: Re-examining the link between Customer Orientation and Business Performance: The role of Information Systems  written by Zhen Zhu and Cheryl Nakata

In the modern business paradigm, a major role of information systems in constructing the higher performance of business can never be denied. Aside from a major impact on the bottom – line results of an organisation, it also has a considerable impact on the customer orientation and satisfaction level of the customers (Xiaoying, Qianqian, and Dezhi 2008). In the paper under consideration, the authors have re-explored the link between customer orientation and business performance. Seemingly, there is a direct link between two aspects, nevertheless, empirical research has little evidence, which has been re-examined in the paper under considerations.

It will definitely put you in long queues in superstores and even outside of banks. Since the introduction of early computers to the business organisations in 1960, this particular product has played a major role in the enhancement of productivity and efficiency.
